June's heartworm treatment begins on April 11th. She's been playing with the other dogs and doing great!! She's SUCH a sweet girl!!! She will need to be kept quiet (settled) for the next few months as laid out on the vets plan. Of course we will keep all of you updated on her progress!! Thank you to everyone who donated for June Bug's treatment!! 

For those that don't know the backstory, June Bug came to DHR very pregnant and testing heartworm positive. She lost all of her babies except for Grant. It was touch and go for little Grant for a bit but fingers crossed it looks like he will survive! Grant is almost 6 weeks old so hopefully he's out of the woods now. He's eating well, playing, sleeping, and pooping! He's doing everything a 5 week old puppy does!! In a couple months we will have an echo cardiogram, and ultrasound done on his heart to check for signs of myocarditis. (It can't be confirmed until a certain age) ​
